Tagaytay trip – part 2

Next stop: The Picnic Grove

Best place for nature trips, sunny day horseback rides, kite flying, scenery spots gazing… the Picnic Grove. To add to the top list of ‘to do’ in this pretty palce is picnic! Obvious to the name, people come here to eat. Mostly are handcarried picnic baskets filled with cooked and ready to cook food that the entire family will love to share. Usual are hotdogs, sausages, steaks, barbecues, fish and other food we love to cook from the grill. Some would even bring cooked food like the famous pork (or chicken) adobo, menudo… some like to bring viands with soup like the ever tasty ’sinigang’ or ‘nilaga’, great to sip contrasting to the cool weather of Tagaytay. And of course, picnic will not be complete without the city’s best fruit around, sweet and juicy pineapples! A favorite to eat anytime of the day in the picnic area and to bring home too. Kids enjoy the covered playground that rests atop the picnic tables. While most couples enjoy the cool weather as they cuddle and gaze at the beautiful scenery of Taal Volcano. Some folks just like to lie down and nap their time away to the fresh grass around the grove. A wonderful way to spend quality time with the whole family. Where everyone will surely love and would want to come back again and again. I do!
