Tagaytay trip – part 1

First stop: People’s Park in the Sky

When smoke, smog, traffic noise is too much to handle, it is time to set yourself to relax and unwind from all these tension. A day’s trip close to nature is the best way to flush all those bad feeling or stress. Tagaytay city trip is sure to be one of the best and easy to do in a day’s escape from your hectic world.

A slow walk uphill to the People’s Park in the Sky (used to be known as Palace in the Sky — self explanatory that is) ..this is one of my favorites. The park has quite a trek uphill to reach the main park area and building. A public transportation going up and down can be found there for people having a hard time walking uphill. But I still prefer walking, a bit tiring but all your gasping and panting will be all worth it once you reach up there. The sight is magnificent! Overlooking Taal volcano and Taal lake from the huge 2-floor balconies. Also, the Talisay beach and the gorgeous Tagaytay Highlands that covers houses, condominium units and golf course. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery from up there and if you’re there early in the morning, groups of foggy clouds are at your hands’ reach. Embracing the cool clouds is fun as it is! When you have had your doze of the pretty sights around you and you feel your stomach gurgling inside you, no worries. There are little stores down by the entrance of the entrance where you can quench your thirst and feed yourself. Eating under those tiny umbrellas while you look around the place as the cool breezes your skin. Cool!

Once you’ve spent enough time digesting this fine place, it’s time to get those feet walking downhill. Sometimes a little running down the trek is fun too. Just be sure you can put on the brakes on those legs when needed! Upon reaching the exit gate, it’s time to get ready for the next park to see!
